Summary
I grew up in southern tip of Sweden, in the beautiful landscapes of Österlen.
After obtaining my International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2003,
I worked in Dublin for about half a year. In 2004 I joined the Physics
with Theoretical Physics BSc program at Imperial College London, hoping that a good foundation
in physics would prepare me for tackling my passion - the brain! I am now in the process of applying for a PhD in Neuroscience
in the United States.
Research interests
Many areas of brain science are of great interest to me. To mention
a few:
- Systems Neuroscience. Understanding the correlation between structure
and function in the brain.
- Brain-machine interfaces. Using computers to simulate and by-pass
damaged areas of the brain, and using biophysical methods for "listening"
and communicating with nerve cells.
- Computational Neuroscience, and the mathematical principles behind
learning and pattern recognition.
